If you've got a net connection, you can access the portal from just about anywhere to do stuff like start the washing machine and control the cooker's settings. I like the concept of controlling household appliances from my iPhone, but what I actually would like to see is an application that alerts you when you forget to switch off any lights, appliances, or tells you it's time to get your garments out of the washer.
